The GMW-B5000 has the iconic square design and shock resistance of the original G-SHOCK (DW-5000C), but with a metal exterior achieved with cutting-edge technology.
The model features a laser-etched grid design that expresses its legacy of genuine strength, transcendent of time.
After a black IP finish is applied to the watch’s metal parts, the grid pattern is engraved by laser onto the case, band and even part of the back case.
An eye for minute detail is employed in the diamond-like carbon (DLC) finishing process and laser etching.
Fine resin cushioning material is inserted between the stainless-steel case and bezel, and the module is enclosed in a protective shell. This creates a shock-resistant structure with a metal exterior, while maintaining the form of the very first G-SHOCK.

The band connection sections employ a three-pronged structure to distribute the impact from shocks.

The specially developed button structure combines large cylindrical forged buttons with internal pipes that guard the vulnerable button shafts from the inside against lateral shocks.

Easy operation of various watch functions
Reminders of dates registered in the app appear on the watch in the form of both a title display and a special light-emission pattern, such as blinking or color change.
This app enables users to stamp events and the time of their occurrence on the map using a watch button. Edit titles and manage entries as log data using the G-SHOCK Connected app.
